Milsoms Kesgrave Hall Hotel kindly allowed us to indulge in a spot of dressing up while spending a day at their beautiful 4-star hotel nr Ipswich Suffolk. This 4-star hotel was built in 1812 and is set in a peaceful, rural location outside Ipswich. An extremely popular wedding venue due to 30 acres of perfect grounds, it’s ideally suited for timeless and romantic photography. More recently an additional, exclusive purpose built reception at the back of the hotel was added to accommodate larger wedding groups.
After a full day on location, I can confidently feedback that the luxury rooms in the hotel are just perfect. With beautiful beds and ensuite facilities, it’s well suited for both an overnight stay, and luxury bridal parties large and small.
We couldn’t have wished for anything better for the wedding dress fashion shoot.
Despite the chilly month of March, we were lucky with the weather; our day was filled with sunshine and blue skies. An early start and various wedding dresses kept us all very busy.
Many thanks to the beautiful models, Amy and Olivia, who were gracious throughout the day. Constantly changing outfits and touring the grounds and hotel, we were all exhausted looking for the best corners and angles.
We are specialists at La Femme Portrait in women’s portrait photography, but equally comfortable and familiar with big wedding days. With portrait and wedding photography sharing many similarities, transitioning between the two genres is pretty smooth. It was refreshing to create a bridal promotion with a portrait twist.
Milsoms Kesgrave Hall Hotel has a fantastic restaurant which definitely lives up to its 4-star status. A break for lunch was a wonderful breather and we were very spoilt with their delicious menu. The team of staff kindly provided us with drinks, a wonderful room to change and full use of all facilities. They were faultless.
A successful day all round, with plenty of laughs and dreamy shots, we had a ball! Many thanks to all the team at Milsoms for accommodating all our needs and requests throughout our stay. It was a genuine pleasure to spend the day in their beautiful surroundings. I hope the photographs speak for themselves.
